Training Programs for LLTDS Truck Drivers: Class A
Lord's Lion Truck Driving School Inc. offers a wide variety of truck driving programs to meet the needs of students and employers. To keep up to date with changing regulations in the trucking industry, our programs are continually improved and updated by our training advisors. Our courses are a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training.
Class A LLTDS Truck Driving Course – 200 Clock Hrs
A 200-hour Class A LLTDS program meets or exceeds the basic hiring criteria for most truckload freight haulers seeking drivers. It provides students the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop skills that will secure means of gaining employment as a commercial truck driver. The course includes classroom instruction, as well as in-truck skill and street/highway training. It encompasses safe and efficient braking, shifting, turning, as well as vehicle inspection and maintenance, coupling and uncoupling, safe driving practices, communication, visual search, speed and space management, logbook keeping, cargo handling, and documentation. The course includes additional behind-the-wheel training and eligibility for one additional endorsement.
Class A LLTDS Truck Driving Course – 240 Clock Hrs
This program includes everything in the 200-hour curriculum. It contains training on a variety of truck configurations to accommodate those who want a more intensive behind-the-wheel experience and a wider range of job opportunities. It includes eligibility for three endorsements: Hazmat Material, Double/Triples, and Tankers.
Class A LLTDS Truck Driving Course – 300 Clock Hrs
A 300-hour Class A LLTDS program is the most comprehensive training course offered by our school. It contains a wide variety of learning objectives to accommodate those who want to take advantage of the most complete and highly paid section of job openings in the trucking industry. Many real-life driving problems and situations are presented for the students to resolve. This course includes additional endorsements such as hazardous materials, tankers, doubles-triples, and passenger endorsement.
Introduction to Trucking Class A Driving Course – 160 Clock Hrs
This program provides basic knowledge and skills to prepare students for the LLTDS exam. It familiarizes students with tractor-trailer and bus systems and components. Safe driving techniques and hands-on training in the vehicle are the basis of this program. This course offers the minimum hours of instruction required by the Secretary of State.
